This comic is recommended for those who need to be moved, to be indulged in nostalgic moments, or want to start over their lives.
Even though this is a Sci-fi story based around a time-traveller, the emotion and action of the main character is so carefully described, which makes it easy for the readers to understand the story in spite of the complicated setting of a middle aged businessman turning into a boy.
Middle-aged salaryman Hiroshi Nakahara accidentally takes a train ride back to his old hometown to visit his mother’s grave. Then for reasons he can’t explain, Hiroshi is transported back in time, and discovers that he’s an 8th grader again, but with all of his adult memories intact. Can he, or should he try to change the decisions he made before? But more importantly, can he find his way back to the present day, or is he stuck in the past? (Quote : Baka-Updates Manga)
Many of the time-travelling stories are written under the concept of changing the future or history .
However, this one is based more on “now” rather than the “future”.
In this story, the theme is described as the “time spent with the family”.
The sensitive writer depicts all those times and details in most delicate way. This us another charm to this comic.
And you can tell how good a story-teller this author is by the way he pushed the story even further with the main character’s father going missing.
The ending is superb. It brings you tears.
