No Lines, No Mimetic Words. New World Woven in 12 Pages.

I would like introduce another self-published unique comic book titled “Lunettes” , following the article of “Chinko Man”.

“lunettes” means glasses.

This was written in 2014 for Mangaro exhibition and Heta-Uma exhibition, and was never on display for a couple of reasons.

【Story Outline】

You suddenly feel happy after trying on that pair of glasses which you picked up on the street. What do you see through the glasses and what’s beyond it?

A dog finds a pair of glasses and once he puts it on, he starts having human values.

12 pages is not a big amount for a comic story but amazingly the author fits the story of figuring out a human value from an objective point of view into it. And there’s no spoken line or mimetic words, making the psychedelic drawing s stand out even more.

This masterpiece is not on regular distribution system but I would like you to grab a copy.

About the author

I Love traveling abroad and reading comic books.

Dots turn into the drawing.
The drawing gets connected with the story, becoming a comic book.
The 2-D world goes beyond the borders and generations to reach us, readers.
This is what I would like to accomplish on Asian-port.
