What do “Letters” Mean? Historical Fiction Beyond Time and Space.

A comic book story surrounding “letters”.

Yurule is one of the main characters and runs away from his family to protect enemy country’s letters. Mongolia is his mother country and the leader is Yurule’s father, Genghis Khan.

Sudou, a young man who keeps having these vivid dreams of bloody battles is approached by Susuki, a shy and quiet girl. When Susuki comes to Sudou’s apartment she plays an instrument of his and Sudou is transported to the year 1209, a time where he is a woman named Shut Hell and Susuki is Yurul, a mongol prince.

The story takes place in the early 13th century. Genghis Khan has united the Mongolian clans and is strengthening his forces to end the Western Xia dynasty. Our heroine is a Xia soldier, feared by the Mongols and called ‘the Evil One (Shut Hell)’ . She, along with Yurul, Genghis Khan’s unknown son, strive to preserve Xia’s culture and writing.(manga fox)

The author has an excellent skill in describing the characters’ emotional movements and the detail settings.

Another interesting feature is Sci-fi element.
A female fighter feared as shuto heru somehow often exchanges the persona between a high school student in Japan, Sudo.

This Sci-fi element becomes the milestone to connect the past and present.

The story has many genres’ influence.

Battle, fiction, tear-shedding, historical, action, Sci-fi, human and others… And all of them are well-combined to tell a story on “letters”. Highly recommended.

About the author

I Love traveling abroad and reading comic books.

Dots turn into the drawing.
The drawing gets connected with the story, becoming a comic book.
The 2-D world goes beyond the borders and generations to reach us, readers.
This is what I would like to accomplish on Asian-port.
